Jorge de Alvarado

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Don Jorge de Alvarado (d. 1540 or 1541[1]) was a Spanish conquistador, brother of the more famous don Pedro de Alvarado.

Don Jorge married a daughter of Xicotencatl, the ruler of Tizatlan in Tlaxcala, as don Pedro also did, probably to gain the support of Tlaxcalan troops.[2] She was baptized with the Spanish name doña Lucía.
