Jorge Santana

Jorge Santana (born June 13, 1954) is a Mexican guitarist, brother of musician Carlos Santana.

He was a former member of Malo who had a top twenty hit Suavecito in 1972. He also was a member of the Fania All Stars from 1971 to 1974, performing in Mexico, United States and Africa.

He released two solo albums on Tomato Records, Jorge Santana & It's All About Love, featuring former Malo members. His distinctive guitar is a green Fender Stratocaster, owned in the 70's.

After a long split, Santana toured with his brother Carlos. The album Sacred Fire: Live in South America was recorded in Mexico City on this tour, featuring Jorge Santana, who played a personalized orange guitar.

In 1994, he recorded an album with his brother and Carlos Santana's nephew Carlos Hernandez called Santana Brothers.
