Born in Guayaquil, Jorge Perrone Galarza was Ecuador's Guayaquil Major from 1986 to 1988. He married Laura Delgado and was also father to Sonia Perrone, Bruno Perrone, Mario Perrone and Laura Perrone. He was known for his farsighted intelligence, great commonsense and turning Guayaquil's garbage dump into a beautiful citadel known as Bellavista.
He died of liver complications in Guayaquil City on March 1st 1994.
