Jorge Luis Pinto

Jorge Luis Pinto(born December 16, 1952 in San Gil, Santander) is a Colombian football (soccer) coach, currently working as the manager of the Colombia national football team.
After an unsuccessful attempt at Coaching Costa Rica, Pinto returned to Colombia to coach a recently promoted team Corporación Nuevo Cúcuta Deportivo which he lead to win their 1st championship in their history. Shortly after ward he was named the new Colombia national football team coach. His job is currently in a stable positions, even after a very bad showing in Copa America 2007. Jorge Luis Pinto has taken to the Colombia national football team to one of the best starts in Fifa World Cup Qualifying in Colombian history, obtaining 8 points out of a possible 12 points, sitting at 4th place (currently qualifying for the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa), only 2 points away from first place, the Paraguay national football team. He is of the opinion that homosexuals should not play football calling football a "Man's sport".[1]
