Jorge Alberto Drovandi (born 5th November 1985 in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina) is an Argentinian footballer who most recently played for the Newcastle Jets in the Australian A-League.[1] Drovandi is a left sided striker. His nickname in Spanish is "La Bala" which means "The Bullet".[2]
Drovandi arrived in Newcastle on the 2nd August 2007 and was given the number 7 jersey. He made his A-League debut when he came on as a substitute against Perth Glory in Round 1.[3]
He has not appeared for the Jets since Round 1. Jets coach Gary van Egmond has said that he has not been chosen due to poor form.[4]
Before the end of 2007 he was released.
He is currently playing for Aldosivi de Mar del Plata.
