Jordan Rhodes (born 5 February 1990 in Oldham, Greater Manchester) is an English footballer who currently plays for Ipswich Town.

He plays as a striker and is the son of Ipswich Town goalkeeping coach Andy Rhodes. Jordan was bought by Ipswich from Barnsley for £5,000 in March 2005 when his father joined Ipswich Town. He scored over 40 goals for Ipswich Town Under 16's, Under 18's and Reserve teams in his first full season at the club.

At the start of the 2006/2007 season Jordan suffered numerous injuries including a dislocated shoulder and being knocked uncouncious. On March 30, 2007, less than two months after his seventeenth birthday he was called up to the Ipswich first team for the game against Plymouth Argyle. He has also been called up to the England under 17's team but pulled out through injury.

He joined Oxford United on 10 October 2007 on a month loan deal. He did not score in his two league appearances but scored in both FA cup appearances. He was recalled from his loan spell on 6 November by Ipswich so that he would be able to play in the clubs FA Youth Cup games.[1]

Rhodes made his debut for Ipswich in the 2007–08 season, coming on as a late substitute against Barnsley. He has to date (17/03/08) hit 43 goals this season, 11 for the academy (including hattrick versus QPR in the FA Youth Cup 3rd round), 21 for the Ipswich Reserves (including double hattrick in 12–1 versus MK Dons), nine in competitive friendlies and two for Oxford United in the FA Cup. You could also add 15 goals from pre-season, so his total of 58 goals is very impressive.

On the 9 April 2008 Rhodes scored his first ever league goal. It came in the 73rd minute against Cardiff City F.C. and was the equalising goal of a 1-1 draw. He had come into the game as a half time substitute and calmly tucked the ball away past Peter Enckelman into the bottom right corner being the fastest to react to a deflected shot.
