Image:Lakehurstcps.JPG
Regarding Image:Lakehurstcps.JPG, you have not listed any sort of source or licensing information for this image. Because of this, I have listed your image as having no source, which marks it for deletion in seven days unless source and licensing information is provided.
By the looks of the image, I'm guessing that you took it yourself. If you wish for the image to remain on Wikipedia, please consider adding a licensing tag for your image, such as {{gfdl}} for the GNU Free Documentation License, {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} for the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 license, or {{pd}} for Public Domain.SchuminWeb (Talk) 05:57, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
Jon's Reply:
So do I just add a tag? Should I add the PD tag? (The photo was taken by me) Jon Revelle 07:08, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
- If it's a picture you took yourself, and you want to release it into the public domain, add the {{pd-self}} tag, since that also specifies the source of the image (that being yourself).
- You also need to do similarly for Image:Lakehurstdemo.JPG, which is also marked no-source. SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:47, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for Adding Lakehurst Photos
I started the article but didn't have the full info yet. Thanks for adding photos. I lived in Third Lake for four years ('94 to '98) and visited the mall frequently. It would be great if you could post an interior photo if you have any. - isipeoria

Image copyright problem with Image:Skywhirl1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Skywhirl1.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

Um, didnt you see in the description that the photo was by Jim Westland? There's your copyright right there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonrev (talk • contribs)
- OrphanBot is unlikely to reply here, so I'll jump in. "Jim Westland" is an attribution, but it doesn't state whether the image is a promotional photo that can reasonably used under fair use, whether it's public-domain, or some other license we can use. Unfortunately, per [1], it looks like it's probably not licensed in a way that Wikipedia can use. Wikipedia must adhere to US and Florida copyright law, and it doesn't look like US law allows use of the photo here. --Interiot 16:05, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Sfgamcarousel.JPG
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Sfgamcarousel.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 14:02, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Concerning Cajun Cliffhanger
Just wondering about the addition you made concerning modifications to all Rotors after the incident on Cajun Cliffhanger. I'm pretty sure ours (Luna Park Sydney's) wasn't modified after this incident, but I can think of a few reasons behind that: maybe it was only American Rotors that got the mod.
On another note: do you know how many Rotors operate in the States, and if so, where? -- Saberwyn 10:34, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Jon's Reply:
Hello, I believe only American Rotors got the modifications and I think Chance was trying to modify all of the rides around the world but havent gotten that far yet.
The only other rotors I knew of were at SF St. Louis but I think its gone and there was another at SF Great Adventure but its gone too. Im not sure if SF Magic Mountain still has theirs or not and Im not sure but I think SF Over Georgia had one too.
-
- Too bad it isn't there anymore... you could have picked up a photo and I could have compared it to mine to see if we got the mod. -- Saberwyn 02:13, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Jester's Wild Ride comment at Cajun Cliffhanger
Hi! I noticed you added a statement to the Cajun Cliffhanger article, stating "The Jester's Wild Ride is very unpopular among coaster enthusiasts and even children say it is boring.". First, thanks for the contribution! I can tell from your User Page that you're something of a Subject Matter Expert on SFGA, so I'm sure your input will be valuable. However, statements like that -- about the state of popular opinion -- need to be backed up with a citation or reference in a reliable source. Otherwise, we have no way of telling the difference between a legitimate relfection of what people think and someone's own personal opinion. If you have some kind of reference (say, an opinion poll, or a magazine article), could you please add a citation? Otherwise, please remove the statement. If you're not familar with them, you might also want to review Wikipedia's policies on Verifiability, Neutral Point of View, and No Original Research, as well as the guideline on Citing Sources. Thanks! --DragonHawk 22:05, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

image I removed from Pontiac Fiero article
This is in response to your message: "That photo you removed from the Fiero article was taken in 1986, hence the reason it is of lower quality." from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Series8217
Taking a photo in 1986 is no excuse of terrible lighting conditions and an unclear photograph of a subject. A photo should not be posted simply because it was taken the year that the subject was created (which it actually isn't, see below). That point is simply irrelevant. A lack of clear photograph for that specific model is no reason to post an unclear one. There are plenty more of these vehicles still around today you could take pictures of if you feel the article needs a picture of the coupe body style, or find other photograph's and ask the artist to provide permission for use on Wikipedia.
You could at least correct the caption for the model it actually is. It's NOT an SE, but rather a base model "Coupe". All SE's in 86 and 87 have the aero package; the car in your picture does not.
Here is a clearer picture of the 84-86 Coupe body style. I could release this into the public domain and post it in the article in place of the existing unclear picture. http://www.pbase.com/series8217/image/68176917

Cedar Creek (Wisconsin)
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Cedar Creek (Wisconsin), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Regarding edits to Six Flags Great America
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Jonrev! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule invisionfree\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. Image:Nolimitscoaster.JPG
Hello, Jonrev. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Nolimitscoaster.JPG) was found at the following location: User:Jonrev. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:19, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:20-LgLogo200x200.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:20-LgLogo200x200.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Unspecified source for Image:20-LgLogo200x200.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:20-LgLogo200x200.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:42, 24 May 2007 (UTC). Little context in Pontiac Rageous
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Pontiac Rageous, by Haemo, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Pontiac Rageous is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Pontiac Rageous, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Pontiac Rageous itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 07:16, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:ShockWaveLogo.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:ShockWaveLogo.jpg.
Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:43, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Chrysler's new pentastar
Hi, Jon. I'm afraid you've made a mistaken inference from the article you cited regarding Chrysler's updated Pentastar. Please read the article carefully; nowhere does it state that the version of the pentastar displayed with the article is in fact Chrysler's updated logo. It merely states that the logo will be updated. The pentastar displayed with that article is an amateur Photoshop job that has been in circulation on the internet since at least 2000. I'm afraid you and I and all of us will have to wait and see what the new logo looks like. --Scheinwerfermann 22:29, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Wausau Center
Wausau Center, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Wausau Center satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wausau Center and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wausau Center during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Unspecified source for Image:22332789.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:22332789.JPG.
If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL.
If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:35, 18 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 21:35, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use Image:Lakehurst2005.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Lakehurst2005.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. VegitaU 23:16, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Amer0.jpg. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Image source problem with Image:Americangas.jpg
This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Americangas.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL.
Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:30, 7 September 2007 (UTC). Orphaned non-free media (Image:Dietcokenew.PNG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Dietcokenew.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:32, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:DSCN5954.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:DSCN5954.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:03, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Citylifelogo2-600x293.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Citylifelogo2-600x293.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. - I initially blocked you for this image violation but I think there's at least a chance that you own krinkels.net. If so, please modify the source page for this image and state that it is released to the public domain. Or at least, that single shot is. We can then deal with the image violation. Note that you are not currently blocked from editing as I withdrew the block. If you are still unable to edit, please request an unblock-auto. --Yamla 04:03, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- I forgot I uploaded that. I have no use for it, so please delete it. Sorry for any trouble.--jonrev 04:07, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

- The issue is that you claimed that this was your image and this does not appear to be the case. --Yamla 04:37, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

- Okay, the image was deleted. You have already been blocked for prior copyright violations. Please be extremely careful about this in the future. Any further violations may result in an indefinite block because it places Wikipedia directly in legal jeopardy. --Yamla 17:51, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Mountaindew.PNG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mountaindew.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use.
Image source problem with Image:Mountaindew.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:Mountaindew.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear.
Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Image copyright problem with Image:BELVIDERE.JPG
Thank you for uploading Image:BELVIDERE.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 22:20, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:31, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Logochryslerpentastar.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Logochryslerpentastar.jpg.
Thank you. BJBot (talk) 08:27, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Image:Pizzahutpanpizza.JPG
I have tagged Image:Pizzahutpanpizza.JPG as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 16:10, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
