[edit] Welcome!

Hello there and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions, I just found the David S. Sampson article which is a very well written and referenced piece of work, and after cleaning it up a little I thought I'd come over here and offer you a few tips.

 • All Wikipedia articles need to be categorised so that they can be found more easily. Appropriate categories can easily be found by browsing the Categorical Index.
 • It's a good idea to make sure you include as many internal links as possible, which are created by placing two square brackets around the phrase (example). Sometimes, it may be necessary for the text of the link to be different from the title of the page it's linking to, this is done like caption, so example creates a link to the page "dinosaur" with the text example.
 • You were almost there with the references list, but there's a far easier way of doing it! Wherever you want to add a reference, add (for just a website link), (for a URL and a description), or (for just text, such as the newspaper article reference in yours). The numbers in superscript appear automatically at these points. Then, under your sources header, add reflist, and it'll list them there, numbering them in the order they appear in the article.

I hope this has helped, keep up the good editing, and if you have any questions see Wikipedia:Help or don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Have a nice day. - Zeibura S. Kathau (Info | Talk) 21:35, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
