[edit] Your autobiographical edits

Hello. Someone on the #wikipedia IRC channel asked about your edits, so I looked into them. Firstly, if you would be so kind as to verify your identity in some way, so that we know you are actually Jonathon Sharkey and not just someone claiming to be him, it would be quite helpful. Next, I would suggest that you read WP:AUTO. We have policies about people editing articles about themselves, and we also have policies about what information may be included in an article, specifically, the verifiability and biography of living persons policies. If you find information in the article which you know to be wrong and that doesn't have a reference supporting it, feel free to remove it. However, claims that are backed up by reliable sources generally need to stay in the article unless they are irrelevant or too obscure. If you would like to correct information that is in the article with information that you know is correct, but that doesn't have any references to support it, or has references which contradict it, then the best course of action would be to create a page somewhere else to use as a reference. --Philosophus T 22:06, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
