Jonathan Crabtree was born 24 April 1961 in Melbourne Australia.

While studying at Melbourne University he broke his spine in a motorcycle accident. Upon admission to the emergency department of the Alfred Hospital he was advised that if he moved, he'd never walk again.

To control his pain, Jonathan used various breathing and visualisation techniques.

Upon regaining his health he completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and commenced with a management consultancy called IBIS.
