New additions to my life list of identified birds:

Eurasian Collared Dove, seen on the Hesston College campus.

Canyon Towhee, seen at Pecos National Historical Park.

Blue Grouse, seen at Bandelier National Monument.

Originally from rural Redwood Falls, Minnesota, I currently live in Mountain Lake, Minnesota and work at the public school. My formal eduation is in the areas of math, physics and computer science. In my free time I run MennoLink and dabble with amateur radio contesting and birding.

Wikipedia pet peeves include overuse of the words nowadays, increasingly, famous and also. I am disappointed when the lead paragraph tells me that the subject of the article is a term that describes, refers to or is used for something (I already knew that). Another is repeating the same thought three or four times in the same sentence. Sometimes less is more.

Everything in Wikipedia should be noted, so why are you telling the reader that? If you find something that should not be noted, do not hesitate to remove it from the article.
