[edit] Protection?

I don't know who originally created the Jonezetta article, but why is it a protected deleted page? I think it needs to be re-created with all the right facts on this amazing band.

  • Do those facts include actual album releases yet? Or are they still "up-and-coming"? Fan-1967 05:57, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
  • I created this article earlier this year, but the Wikipedia elite told me Jonezetta wasn't "notable" enough to warrent a page. Yes, they released their first album on October third. You can pick it up at any "notable" record store in the United States. In the mean time, check out their music video by clicking here. Peace. Kendrickjohnson
  • This page should be recreated due to the simple fact like Kendrickjohnson said above, their album was just released and there should be enough information to make a page. DJREJECTED 10:46, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Jonezetta is definately not "up and coming" at this point. At the moment they're on Tour with Mute Math. I personally feel that Jonezetta deserves a wiki entry. They have a really rich musical background, which influences their unique sound. As we've seen all across Wikipedia: Just because you're an expert herbalist and haven't heard about how to fix a car, doesn't mean that fixing a car is impossible; thus, deleting the car entry is clearly ridiculous. Jonezetta is well enough known in it's own circle, and that circle is beginning to greatly expand. Jonezetta On Best Buy Jonezetta Home Tour Dates Vicentil 9:36, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Done...made the request for undeletion. Thanks for telling us about this Fan-1967. DJREJECTED 15:18, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
  • You didn't quite put the request in the right place, so I moved it. Undelete request is on this page. -- Fan-1967 15:29, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Oh okay, thanks, Wikipedia can become confusing when making requests and what not. DJREJECTED 15:36, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I restored the article, per the facts brought up at WP:DRV. Make sure those facts make their way into the article, though. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 21:09, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Someone Gather More Info

Someone needs to get some better Bio info, perhaps any contacts with the actual band members could produce more than just an Introduction Paragraph? --Vicentil 00:37, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

The biography on this page seems to be almost entirely copied from Stewart Mason of All Music Guide (or, is it visa versa?). -- anonymous 21:30, 13 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Tours

They're on tour right now with Anberlin, Bayside, and Meg and Dia. I saw them at Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte NC, which was the first show of their tour.

[edit] Name

Can anyone verify how they got their name? The story I've been told is that they were obsessed with Catherine Zeta-Jones, and their name is a homage to her. (Jones + Zeta)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Jonezetta logo.png

Image:Jonezetta logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
