Somebody added material to this article based on a 1988 New York Times wedding announcement of a Jonathan Blair Hensleigh. Although similarly identified as a lawyer and writer, that person apparently attended a different law school than the subject of this article, and we should be careful to avoid confusing them. --Michael Snow (talk) 21:01, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

With a little more detail, perhaps they are the same person after all. However, I've been informed that the accuracy of the 1988 announcement is disputed, which is why I figured they were different people. So I'll resort to a little more careful parsing and identify some of the disputed points. It's not correct to assume that he originated from the place where his parents happened to live when he got married. So that should be left out altogether, not to mention I don't know why a misspelling was reintroduced.
Incorrect information was also cited as to the UMass degree and the law firm. Based on the school magazine, I'll take the degree to be correct, but the designation there of "'81C" might mean cum laude rather than summa. With the uncertainty it's best to keep the information limited, since this stuff isn't an essential part of his public career. Meanwhile, the law firm was based in New York, which would fit descriptions in other biographies of having been a Wall Street attorney. Without a lot of clear detail on his legal career, I think we should just say he worked as a lawyer and move on to the important part of the article. --Michael Snow (talk) 17:05, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
