Can anyone tell me if Vaughn is related to Jon Vaughn the former 1960s NCAA outdoor pole vault champion at UCLA?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 20:55, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- In a related matter the following text was removed from the article as unsourced during GA review: "Vaughn has 3 girls and 1 boy who's name is Jonathan Stewart Vaughn Jr. His son also plays football and runs track in Massachusetts."--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 23:04, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Kickoff return leaders
I am trying to understand why Jon Vaughn was not credited as being one of the kickoff return leaders in his best years. Please see the last paragraph in this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TonyTheTiger (talk • contribs) 04:04, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GA Review: On Hold
I have reviewed this article according to the requirements of the GA criteria and have placed the article on hold until the following issues are addressed. As you address each issue, either strike through the statement/place a check mark next to the issue and state how you addressed it. If you disagree with a particular issue, state your rationale for doing so after the issue in question so a compromise can be reached.
- "Background" — Is there any information you can include about his parents? Also can the last sentence the section be moved to a personal life section? If so, see if you can expand it further (include life after football & his wife). The statement also needs an inline citation.
- You may note I still have an outstanding query on his father above on this page. I have no info on his mother or wife and the info on his son came from an IP contributor who I haven't been able to get to provide an inline citation. --TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 14:36, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- "He had a short collegiate career for the University of Michigan Wolverines, but he played for back-to-back Big Ten Conference Champions." Start the sentence off with his last name, as "he" used twice in the same sentence may sound redundant. --TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 13:28, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- "His third claim is that the 288 yard effort" Add a hyphen for "288-yard". Same for "a team-high" a few sentences later. Also, after "team-high", spell out "five" right after it. --TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 13:30, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- "as the nations leading rusher" — "as the nation's leading rusher" This occurs in the last section of "College" and first paragraph of "Professional Football", make sure to fix both. --TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 13:31, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- "Professional Football" In the heading, "Football" should be lower-cased. Also in this section, add wikilinks for the NFL teams that are mentioned. --TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 13:36, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Add college and career stats tables to the end of the article. --TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 14:23, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- If possible, see if a free image can be found of the player.
- He is not active so I can not get pictures by attending a game and none seem to be in the public domain.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 14:37, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Altogether, the article doesn't have too many problems. I have left the article on hold for seven days for the issues to be addressed. Most of the above issues should be easy to fix and not take too long. If they are fixed in this time, I will pass the article. If not, the article may be failed and can be renominated at WP:GAN. If necessary to address the above issues, and progress is being made, an extension may be allowed. If you have any questions or when you are done, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 05:30, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Good job with addressing the above issues. The article can't be passed until the statement with the "cn" tag is either sourced or removed. Consider putting it in a hidden comment until one can be found. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 04:06, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
