[edit] Adding to some missing details

Jon Lovitz appeared as the manager of Dickie Roberts in the movie, Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. Also, when you watch the movie, Matilda, when the Wormwoods are watching television when Matilda's father forces her to watch it while she was reading a book, the host of the show in the television looks and sounds so much like Jon Lovitz. Clarify me on this, but I'm certain that's him. "Let's get sticky with Mickey!" (?)

[edit] The Simpsons

I'm removing him from Category:Simpsons cast members as he was AFAIK a guest star in only one episode. Angr/comhrá 20:02, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

According to IMDB he has nine voice acting credits on the Simpsons, but I still concur that it hardly qualifies as a cast member credit since there is over 350 episodes. - Laisak 22:04, August 3, 2005 (UTC)
A quick Google search showed that on the Simpons, Lovitz has appeared in the following seasons: #2 (Artie Ziff, Mr. Seckofsky), (Professor Lombarbo); #3 (Aristotle Amadopolis); #4 (Llewellyn Sinclair); #6 (Artie Ziff), (Jay Sherman aka The Critic); #8 (Artie Ziff), (Jay Sherman aka The Critic).

Yes... Artie Ziff is definitely a recurring character. Lovitz was also MS. Sinclair in Season 4. Although he is obviously not a core cast member, he is recognized by Wikipedia:WikiProject The Simpsons.LeSaint 22:25, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Anyone that they get back on more than four occasions can be considered a cast member. He has appeared 8 times, which will be nine after Homerazzi, and he was in the DVD commentary for A Star is Burns. He should be considered a cast member. Gran2 07:30, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Leno

He was on Leno just now and he claimed someone on Wikipedia referred to him as a "frog-faced, pear-shaped comedian." 67.46.0.13 04:45, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

He also had a pet bull on the show, named Jay Leno!

[edit] Leno II

yeah, I deleted that. While I was watching the show. That's mean. Wouldn't it be really funny if he started editing this article? I think it would be funny.

(I'm not him though).

[edit] Jewish?

He's listed as a Jewish American actor, but I've seen him say that he's not jewish in an interview. When talking about his character "Hannukah Harry," he said even though he's an Itallian, he's good at playing jews.

Yeah, he also mentioned that gullible wasn't in the dictionary...he was joking. He's not really Italian. He is Jewish. Once, when he was counting down the best songs of the 1980s on VH-1, he said he wasn't born until 1987. Should we change his birthdate too?

[edit] Standup

How does one "enter" standup comedy? That phrase is terribly written and unclear. Without any detail whatsoever as to what sort of standup effort he was doing. A tour? A TV show? At a Denny's?

Plus, I saw him do standup at the Los Angeles Laugh Factory in either late 2002 or early 2003 - he wasn't one of the scheduled acts, but he did stop by and do a set. That section needs to be revised/deleted. - Tyler 04:52, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Breaking Andy Dick's face.

Is the beating Andy Dick received worth mentioning here? It seems like it was a long time coming.

Yes, yes it was.
"ANDY DICK FEARS JON LOVITZ"
Hopefully, Andy Dick and Paris Hilton will both kill each other. It's called DSAF. (Doing Society A Favor)
WHY was the "Confrontation with Andy Dick" section removed?? --Schmendrick (talk) 15:48, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Conflicting Stories

The story on Lovitz's page and the story on Andy Dick's page don't tell the same details. If the site is meant to be unbiased shouldn't that not happen? Which story should be published in both? Alchemistmerlin 13:20, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jamie Lee Curtis double-grope

WHAT? No mention of the famous incident where JLC won an award presented by Lovitz, and he slowly reached over and felt her breast, then without skipping a beat she grabbed his crotch? 199.214.28.244 22:05, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Divorced?

On NNDB.com it states that he is divorced. Is there any truth to this or any more info? - Amorwikipedia (talk) 01:08, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
