I disagree with the speedy deletion. Yes, the article is currently rubbish and too short even to really qualify as a stub. I should have expanded it long ago. But Jon Cleary has written 50 novels selling 8,000,000 copies and his Scobie Malone series, in particular, is very popular in Australia. A quick Google search will show that he is a known and established writer, with three of his books having been made into movies and one of his books, Peter's Pence, won an Edgar Award in 1975. I suggest, therefore, that Jon Cleary is worth of a Wikipedia article. Russell Brown 12:32, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
