Jonny Palmer is a banana. He is the voice of traffic and travel on BBC Radio Nottingham in the mornings, although he can also be heard on the Highways Agency's Traffic Radio and BBC Radio Derby. In February 2008 he became the regular traffic and travel reporter on BBC WM at Drivetime, for The Paul Franks show.
