[edit] In The Beginning
Jonathan Edward Boyle was born in August 14th 1975 in the town of Washington, Tyne And Wear in North East England. He was born and raised in the town and went to St Robert Of Newminster RC School in the town. He picked up a guitar at a very early age and found a natural talent hiding and soon began to progess at speed.

Jonny could regularly be found on the Tyne And Wear gig circuit holding buskers nights as well as doing solo and band events. Some of his favourite haunts were Greens in Sunderland and the Millhouse in Washington, Tyne And Wear where he was a regular favourite.

His main talents, however, are his songwriting skills and guitar playing and he put them to good use on his 2002 critically acclaimed solo album, Manfriday. The album features an amazing mix of subtle ballads and modern acoustic singer songwriter tunes and is still available for purchase. some of the songs can be heard on his Myspace Page

Recently, Jonny joined forces with guitarist John Miles Jr, son of Musician John Miles, Niel Harland (a session bass player and player for Jools Holland) on bass and Simon Ferry on drums with a musical project they called the Urge. With Such a musical heritage on display, an album was juat around the corner. Released October 2007, the Urges 'lunch at the lady garden youtube video made immediate headway on iTunes and on Amazon Germany where it received a 4/5 rating. The album is going from strength to strength due to the extensive promotion by long tours and hours of hard work behind the scenes by label India. The Urge recently were the support band for Rock Legend Gary Moore and are currently headlining their own tour of Germany

Jonny has a 2005 Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster which he has had retrofitted with Seymour Duncan Pick-ups. He runs this through a Marshall Vintage Modern 50w All Tube Head and an array of modified pedals. For smaller venues he has a Laney VC-30 212 30w Tube Combo and a 1997 Silver Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster for an alternative sound. His acoustic rig mainly consists of his 2003 Taylor 314ce with Fishman Pick-up and a Mackie SRM 450 P.A. To run it through. He owns a K.Yiari acoustic guitar and Tanglewood Guitars TW 55 HB electro-acoustic as backup
