Jonathan Raymond

Jonathan Raymond is a writer living in Portland, Oregon. He published his first novel, The Half-Life in May of 2004. He has also worked as a screenwriter and wrote the short story inspired by the photography of Justine Kurland on which the film Old Joy is based.[1] Old Joy[2] was shown at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and 2006 Rotterdam International Film Festival and stars musician Will Oldham.

Raymond's professional duties include co-editing Tin House Magazine, editing Plazm Magazine, art criticism for Artforum & Modern Painters and teaching through The New School.[citation needed]
