Jonathan Flynn

Jonathan Flynn (born 1989) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays for Blackburn Rovers. He signed from Ballymena United for a nominal fee in January, 2008 after a trial period.[1]
Flynn was Blackburn Rovers only signing of the January Transfer Window, with Flynn signing a three-and-a-half year deal at Ewood Park.
Ballymena boss Tommy Wright tipping the youngster for a big future in the game. "I am reluctant to talk up young players, but in my opinion Johnny Flynn is the best teenage defender I have seen in the Irish League for some time," he was quoted as saying on Blackburn Rovers official website.
Wright went on to say; "He is composed, mature and calm on the ball, and he is also a good defender. "I think Blackburn have got a very talented defender who is good in the air, has a nice range of passing and has good physical stature. He will also improve and develop with age."
