From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jonas Kyratzes is a videogame designer, known for his four videogames and many articles.

His four videogames are:

  • The fatalistic but very short Last Rose in a Desert Garden which takes place in the aftermath of a nuclear war.
  • The slightly longer The Infinite Ocean which deals with the concept of existentialism, centered on a sentient computer.
  • The text-based The Great Machine, a dark and experimental story about soldiers, war, death, and people faced with hell.
  • The Museum of Broken Memories which deals with themes relating to war, comprised of a number of mini plots from the same overall story.

References to previous games can be found in Museum of Broken Memories, such as the recurring 'Urizen' first mentioned in The Great Machine

Jonas was born in Germany and raised in Greece. He has written several articles on videogames, as well as surrealism and other philosophical ideas.

He now lives in Frankfurt.
