Jonas Bjerre

Jonas Bjerre (21 September 1976) is the lead singer and guitarist of Danish rock-trio Mew. Jonas Bjerre is also a visual artist and creates animated videos for Mew's live shows. He has an unusually high voice that makes Mew very recognizable, and earned him a DMA for Danish Male Solo Artist in 2006. He went to school at Bernadotteskolen and was a student of Aurehøj Amtsgymnasium. Jonas is inspired by classic rock and soul legends who named the frontiers of rock experimenting with different and new methods. Jonas's band, Mew, has many songs that are rock, or space-pop.
