Jonang Foundation

Jonang Foundation is a nonprofit support organization for the Jonang (Tibetan: ཇོ་ནང་Wylie: Jo-nang) Tibetan Buddhist tradition. They offer an online resource that presents original research, and they host educational and cultural preservation initiatives in Tibet. Jonang Foundation was founded to work with exemplars of the Jonangpa both inside Tibet and within the international community, and to facilitate the emergence of this major tradition of Tibetan Buddhism onto the world stage. They were established in unison with the Jonang Standing Council, a network of Jonang representatives who work together in order to maintain the livelihood of the Jonangpa in Tibet.

The mission of Jonang Foundation is to preserve this distinctive tradition and promote understanding of the intellectual, creative, and spiritual heritage of the Jonangpa. Goals include greater conservation, education, translation, documentation, and revivification for the Jonangpa.
