Jon Yoder

Jon Yoder is Assistant Professor at the Syracuse University School of Architecture. His architectural work, as a designer and scholar, frequently engages other visual disciplines such as film and television studies, art history, and visual media theory. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in Critical Studies in Architectural Culture in the UCLA Department of Architecture + Urban Design. His doctoral dissertation, “Widescreen Architecture: The Immersive Visuality of John Lautner,” takes the ocular-centric projects of the Los Angeles architect as lenses through which to focus on issues of experiential and projective vision.
He is the organizer of the Televisuality Symposium at the Syracuse University School of Architecture on April 11, 2008.
