Jon Olsson is one of the world's best known freeskiers. He was born and raised in Sweden, but now lives in Monaco. He holds ten Winter X-Games medals. For the last three years he has run his own competition the Jon Olsson Invitationalheld in Åre, Sweden. He has also won many other events including Big Air at Winter X-Games 08, The US Free Skiing Open in Vail, The Red Bull Big Air in Åre, Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships in Riksgränsen and the World Superpipe Championships in Whistler BC. In 2008, Jon, Simon Dumont and TJ Schiller announced their involvement in a new open freeskiing event, the North American Open, at Breckenridge, CO. This event includes a new format to qualify; riders will have as many runs as there is daylight to try and prove themselves in front of the judges, once a rider is approached and given a bib, they have qualified for the next level.

One of Jon's biggest accomplishments has been his invention of several new double flips, which are two separate flips during one air. These include a D-spin 720 into a flatspin 540 (DJ Flip), a switch double rodeo 1080 (Hexo Flip), and his most famous one being a double flatspin 900 (Kangaroo Flip) which he used to win Gold in the Big Air at Winter X Games 08 and at Jon Olsson Invitational 2006.

Tanner Hall and Jon Olsson are the only people to hit Chad's Gap switch. Jon landed a switch 5 and attempted two switch misty 900s.

Some of Jon's sponsors include Head, POC helmets, Red Bull, Oakley, Swix, Kombi, Cross and Tyrolia.

Jon has a pro model ski made by Head which has featured graphics of beautiful models every year of its production.
