Jon Jeary

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jon Jeary was the bass guitarist and one of the founding members of British progressive metal band Threshold. Jeary left the group in 2003 to be replaced by Steve Anderson. [1] While he was with the band, he wrote virtually all the lyrics to their songs.

Jeary started his performing career playing acoustic guitar and singing Roy Harper songs in pubs in the Staines area, whilst he was a student at Royal Holloway College. Initially he lacked confidence in his voice and needed encouragement from friends. In a sudden and complete change of artistic style, Jeary founded If Not Why (later to become Threshold with local boys Ian Bennett and Karl Groom. In the band's first incarnartion, Jeary was lead vocalist.
