[edit] Career
Jon started out in Nashville, Tennessee performing, writing (Warner Chappell and BMG), and collaborating with the people mentioned above. He recorded his own songs for Warner Brothers, Sony and MCA Records while in Nashville. Much of his work garnered much praise from the music community, but never seemed to take off in the main stream.
He wanted to make music his way, so he took his newly born daughter Claire Marie and his wife Kelli, and returned to Texas. “The older you get the more you realize just how important family and close friends are. With the birth of our daughter and the Texas music scene blowing up, it just seemed like the right time to come home,” says Jon. Within a year of returning to Texas, he had signed a deal with Palo Duro records and created the song "Lonestar Attitude", which has become a cult anthem in the state of Texas.
