Jon Boden

Jon Boden (born 1977) is an English fiddle player and folk singer. He was born in Chicago but grew up in Winchester, England. He has a degree in Medieval Studies from Durham and Composition for Theatre from London College of Music. He plays fiddle as part of the duo Spiers and Boden, the band Bellowhead and Eliza Carthy's band The Ratcatchers. He has also written a number of theatre scores. Jon and his partner, folk singer Fay Hield (of The Witches of Elswick) have a daughter, Polly, born 2006.
