Jon Beekhuis

Jon Beekhuis (born March 31, 1960) is a former race car driver from Zurich, Switzerland. The 1988 Indy Lights champion, he drove in 9 CART races in 1990 and a handful more in 1989, 1991, and 1992. His best finish was an 8th at Michigan International Speedway. He later became a pit reporter for first ESPN's and then Speed Channel/CBS's coverage of CART & Champ Car races.
Open Wheel Racing Series, LLC (Champ Car owners) feature an in-house television package with authorised production firms, and in Beekhuis moved to the booth as Champ Car television's lead analyst in 2007. (Champ Car television, unlike other series, is based on the series producing the races and controlling broadcasts, with the exception of the play-by-play, sometimes a second analyst, and some pit reporters. During the three NBC Champ Car races scheduled for 2007, TNT announcers Bill Weber (play-by-play), Wally Dallenbach, Jr. (analyst), and Marty Snider (pit reporter) joined the Champ Car broadcast team.
