[edit] Dates on ATL mayors

While editing James Calhoun, I noticed that you had Calhoun's term as 1865-68. I knew this couldn't be possible since as mayor of Atlanta, he surrendered the city in 1864, so I looked it up and found this [1]. I corrected Calhoun's page, but you'll need to go back through some of the mayors around him and correct their terms. Otherwise, great job on the mayors of Atlanta pages. Sayeth 21:51, Jun 13, 2005 (UTC)

Funny, just trying to fix all that tonight at the library! I should have corrected info soon Jolomo 00:59, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Richard Peters

Thanks for your help, and the Atlanta article. I'll add the first Richard as an article and to your disambiguation page. Keep up the good work. Lou I 12:34, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Herman Haupt

Cool article! Do you have any idea if Herman Haupt had a relationship with J. Edgar Thomson or Richard Peters? They were all from Philadelphia and involved with the Pennsylvania Railroad (Thomson was its president after the War). I couldn't find anything. Thanks Jolomo 20:05, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Sorry, I had to stretch to get as much info as I included. Those names didn't come up in my research. Hal Jespersen 20:24, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Henry W. Grady page

Are you interested in working on the Henry W. Grady page? If not, I will do the work, it seems you are busier than I, but possibly a better Wikipedian and more knowledgable on Atlanta history.

BTW, where do you live? I'm just a thirty second walk from the Hurt mansion and the Candler mansion (founder of Coke)!

[edit] IN THE NEXT WORLD YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN

Hey, nice infobox you added for ITNWYOYO. That was going to be my wikiproject for the day but you beat me to it. So I ended up fixing the hack job someone did on TV OR NOT TV by Proctor and Bergman instead. I've been working on a few of these Firesign articles a week and now that the ones that are already there are about done, it's about time to start in on the ones that have no articles at all. That'll take more time but it's nice to know someone appreciates the stuff I'm doing and is willing to help out.

See you around man,

Will user:will1410

[edit] DYK

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Great Atlanta fire of 1917, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

--Gurubrahma 17:50, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alexander St. Clair-Abrams

I see that you began the article Alexander St. Clair-Abrams. I'm trying to confirm that he is the same person as the author of the book The Trials of the Soldier's Wife, which has recently been transcribed for Project Gutenberg [2]. Do you think this is the same person? Andrew Sly 17:04, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] MARTA stations

I like your work on adding station pages for marta stations. I would love to work with you to get these pages flushed out. Earlopogous 03:09, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

How do you like the Peachtree Center (MARTA station) infobox? I changed it to look more like the MTA articles. Earlopogous 02:35, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Maynard Jackson

I think with the way the infobox is set up, that's as good as you can get as far as the succession boxes go. However, feel free to edit it to make it clearer. Also, I'd edit out the party affiliation as well, but isn't it true he was a Democrat? Mike H. That's hot 16:05, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

I think I found it on a Mayor of Detroit article, so I assumed it was the standard for all mayors. Mike H. That's hot 22:55, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Atlanta Neighborhood Image

I like your image Atlanta-hoods-shields.PNG but I'm wondering why you show a few neighborhoods in southwest Atlanta past the perimeter but nothing on the northeast side (like Brookhaven). Akubhai 20:47, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

  • Thanks! When I did it there was *nothing* to give people a spacial idea of where the various hoods were. I stuck to things inside the city limits (Brookhaven is just to the east of the line) and only displayed neighborhoods that were listed in the template at that time -- I'm sure it has changed since back then. [edit] Senior Senator

Hey. I do not know you, but i see you are a member of North Dakota Wikiproject. Please, could you answer my question. I would like to point out that in 1992, Kent Conrad retired, and Byron Dorgan won. Dorgan is still in the Senate. And then Conrad ran and won a few years later. Wouldn't this make Dorgan senior senator from North Dakota??

Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Breezecard.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:14, 13 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. [edit] Wikimania 2008/Conference of the Americas

Hello, As you may or may not know, Alexandria, Egypt was selected to host Wikimania 2008 [3]. So as to prevent the hard work of the many Wikimedians involved in the Atlanta bid from going to waste, we have decided to host a conference for the Americas. This is in no way an attempt to compete with Wikimania or make a statement against Wikimania.

As one of the people signed up to help with the Wikimania Atlanta bid, we hope you will join us at the Wikimedia Conference of the Americas. We will be having a meeting tonight in IRC tonight (Oct 15) at 9:30PM in #cota-atlanta on irc.freenode.org to discuss the conference. For more information about IRC see [4].

[edit] Ross Overbeek

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ross Overbeek, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Ross Overbeek. Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Tom Shipley, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Requesting another of your photographs

Your photo of the old container of moth killer is very good. I can read the wording on the container label, but only the front of the label is visible. Do you still have access to the container? It would be interesting as a matter of historical issues to read the rest of the wording, e.g. the usage instructions. I wonder could you take another photo showing the rear of the label? [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:PATH-logo.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:PATH-logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:20, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
