Jolt gum
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jolt gum is a chewing gum, from the makers of Jolt Cola (the packaging explicitly states "Yes, the same Jolt as Jolt Cola!"). It is meant to give energy and contains caffeine, guarana and ginseng. Two pieces contain the energy boost of a coffee or energy drink. There are 90 mg of energy in 2 pieces of Jolt Gum (40 mg of caffeine, 40 mg of guarana-caffeine and 10 mg of ginseng). It's used as an on-the-go energy booster that doesn't require the attention of a bottle or can.
This gum is quite strong in energy content, and thus should not be chewed by people with high blood pressure or other heart/circulatory problems.
It comes in both spearmint and icy-mint flavors and has 12 pieces per pack.
It is sold in many big box retailers and convenience stores, including Kmart and 7-Eleven.
Jolt Gum offers scholarships called the "Chew More Do More" Scholarships. They give ten $1,000 scholarships each year.
