[edit] Plot

Koumijima is a beautiful island in the Pacific Ocean. There is a tradition there handed down from ancient times that speaks about an ancient site under the sea called "Sea Floor Palace"[1] and two real pirate women, "Anne Bonney" and "Mary Read" who left a treasure there 300 years ago[2].

Conan and the others go to Koumijima Island on a vacation and meet with treasure hunters who have gathered there to search for the treasure. One of those hunters searches for the "Sea floor Palace", and gets attacked by sharks and dies.

When that happens, Conan and the gang start to investigate.

[edit] The Weather

  • When Conan asked Ran why she didn't bring her breathing device, Ran told him that when Shinichi lets her borrow his umbrella for an important occation, which he explained to Ran that "I'm a detective, so I know what the weather is...", he went home soaking wet.

[edit] Note

  1. ^ The sunken structure in the movie was based from the undersea Yonaguni Monument.
  2. ^ In actual history, there was no evidence these historical women pirates ever sailed in the Pacific Ocean - their activities were in the Caribbean.
  • Usually Conan's cellphone is red. In this movie it is blue.
