JOIDES Basin

JOIDES Basin (74°30′S, 174°0′E) is a northeast trending undersea basin of the central Ross continental shelf named for the "Joint Oceanographic Institutes Deep Earth Sampling." Name approved 6/88 (ACUF 228).
