[edit] General note: Unsourced on Sheikh Adelabu. using TW
[edit] April 2007
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Sheikh Adelabu, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Wysdom 02:42, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
This is really incredibly important because your article is a biographical work of a living person. Thanks! Wysdom 02:42, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi again. Thanks for your efforts to properly cite your article on Sheikh Adelabu. However, one of the editors on clean-up patrol has once again tagged it for deletion because it doesn't assert the notability of its subject. Please understand "notability" doesn't mean, for Wikipedia purposes, "importance", but rather that the subject has been widely noted or taken note of. Generally, "notable" subjects will have sources independent of their own organizations/work taking note of them. Unfortunately, the citations/sources your provided don't satisfy this citeria since they are organizations the subject founded or works he has produced.
Please take the time to read and become familiar with WP:NN and WP:Cite for more information about how to properly cite your article. In the meantime, I've placed the {{hangon}} tag on the page so (hopefully) it doesn't get deleted... but I can't guarantee it won't. Best of luck to you! Wysdom 10:54, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Sheikh Adelabu
A tag has been placed on Sheikh Adelabu, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mhking 15:18, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
