[edit] Barnstar

The Photographer's Barnstar
Here's a barnstar John for all of those quality images that you took for wikipedia. Showing them on your userpage really helps; so well done anyway Retiono Virginian 15:25, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Tyne and Wear

Hi John the mackem, I'm pleased to inform you that the proposal for a new WikiProject in which you listed yourself as an interested wikipedian (WikiProject:Tyne and Wear) has gained enough interested users in order to become a proper project on the English Wikipedia. I will be creating the project page, userboxes and templates shortly and hopefully creating a project logo. Thanks for showing your interest and I'll contact you when the Project page and other stuff is created! TellyaddictEditor review! 15:48, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Hi, I'm pleased to inform you that WikiProject Tyne and Wear is now an official Project on the English Wikipedia. Please add your name to the official participants list on the Project Page.TellyaddictEditor review! 20:03, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Hi there, I've replied to your comments on the Project talk page. Also what do you think of the new project logo, It took a lot of editing to get it just right, there were bystanders in the picture orignally and I just used a Image edting program to edit them out as best I could (you'll notice that on the sort of north-west area of the image the grass is a little uneven, thats as best I coud get it after edting people out! If you have any suggestions for improvements please tell me!TellyaddictEditor review! 20:12, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
I value your opinion about the name change and I know it would be a lttle bit of work but it'll do the Project good in the end. I don't mind if you oppose on this matter or not but if it's changed there would be more article within the scope and possibly more featured articles, and high class articles. So honestly, even though I would't ask you to any work (or very little) on this I respect your honest opinion.TellyaddictEditor review! 20:54, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Well, I'm not bothered either way and I'm willing to do the work for it but if the name did stay the same and users saw templates when on article talk pages about Northumberland for example it may confuse them as northumberland is not technically in Tyne and Wear, thanks for your honesty and we'll leave it for a few weeks until other members can voice there opinions on this matter, Also have you noticed the new side bar on the project page and the new subpages of the Project, there all listed in the sidebar on the right of the project page. Cheers! TellyaddictEditor review! 22:24, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Just a quick note to say that the table in the assessment department of WikiProject Tyne and Wear is now updated daily by a bot which will add any information on a daily basis, so there is no need for humans to do it now, its done by a bot. Thanks.Tellyaddict 17:15, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Forgot to say earlier, when rating an article now you have to capitalise the first letter of the rating and the importance in order for the automated bot to do its run correctly to update the table on the assessment sub-page.Tellyaddict 18:26, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Collision on your user page.

I noticed that your user page has user boxes colliding with your gallery when I view it at 1024x768 with the Monobook skin. Unless you want to move the gallery to a subpage, I suggest you ask how to solve the problem at the technical part of the village pump. Will (Talk - contribs) 09:27, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
