[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:BrendanMcCarthySkin.JPG
Thank you for uploading Image:BrendanMcCarthySkin.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:44, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:BrendanMcCarthySkin.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:BrendanMcCarthySkin.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Images
Thanks for the efforts. I see the robots have tagged you but I've had a quick look at them and you seem to have it in hand. If you need assistance then feel free to drop me a note or you can get more people to look things over for you at the Comics Project - drop a note onto the talk page and someone will be able to help. - This is where we run into a bit of a problem as technically I can't add the photo. The underlying thinking on this seems to be that it should be possible to a photo of living person that is free to use. However, to make it free to use you either the uploader has to be the individual or the person who took the photo, so you are in a position to release for wider use. I certainly couldn't do it and I am unsure you can either (as there is no real way to prove you were given permission to do it) but I'll ask in the Comics Project and see what comes up.
