[edit] Image:Polmont FC Crest.jpg listed for deletion
[edit] Image:MalkyNicol.gif
You say this image has been allowed to be used by the site it came from. Could you provide proof? Thanks. └ OzLawyer / talk ┐ 14:49, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Use of the image was provided over email. How would you like verification of this?
- Supply me with the address of the person so I may contact them. I suspect you haven't actually gotten such permission, since a previous upload of this image has already been deleted. I also note you've uploaded at least four completely different images that are supposed to be the flag of Polmont (clearly, they can't all be the flag—and probably none of them are, I'd bet). └ OzLawyer / talk ┐ 23:52, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Firstly, the original time the image was deleted, it was deleted immediately after being uploaded, with next to no time for me to react. Naivety on my part, perhaps. The email address in question was simply info@falkirk.gov.uk. I can tell this will seemingly never please some people, unfortunately, so I'll remove it from the page for atleast the time being. Maybe if you'd wait a little longer for a response then things would be resolved a little more smoothly. Oh and regarding the flags, naivety on my part with unsuccessful bordering, I'm afraid. I'll list the required images for deletion, however. Thank you.
- You mean Image:Flag of DPRP.png is not a silly made up flag based on the flag of the DPRK? Come on, Johnx4! └ OzLawyer / talk ┐ 00:17, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Don't bother listing them, just let me know which ones are not the "real" flag. If the blue top and white bottom you're displaying on your userpage is the flag, then might I delete the purple/white one, the purple/white/purple ones, and the one that looks like the DPRK's flag? └ OzLawyer / talk ┐ 00:24, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Template:PLTf
Template:PLTf is up for deletion; see it here. └ OzLawyer / talk ┐ 00:17, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Oh goodmorning Mr Osgoode. The "real" one as you would call it is dprpflag.JPG. The rest, including the blue and white thing with the red star on it can go. Thank you.
- Could you show me evidence that this one is the real one? I don't mean to hassle you, but the fact that you uploaded several completely different flags as the flag of Polmont kind of casts suspicion on this one as well. As for a bordered flag, which one would you like to keep? In addition, is the flag of Polton that you uploaded correct? └ OzLawyer / talk ┐ 13:48, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
It's no problem. Apart from real-life 'documents' I have with it, there seems to be no citation on the internet. This is the same for the flag of Aberdeen etc. There must be something somewhere, though. Oh and Polton can go.

[edit] The Future
Hi John, just happened to come across your edit history. Frankly, Wikipedia is not the place to play silly buggers and amuse yourself while sitting bored in front of your computer. Some of your edits and image uploads demonstrate that your account is being used to make misleading, useless and disruptive edits. A few of your edits do seem to be constructive and well intentioned, and you should continue to head in this direction. You've already been warned about your conduct and further disruptive edits could well lead to a block. Happy editing, Deizio talk 14:28, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Hello. Not all of the edits were made directly by me, unfortunately this is what you get when you leave yourself signed in permenantly with other more eccentric people in the same area. I don't appreciate being called a silly bugger either. Bye.
- Sorry if my turn of phrase offended you. Your account is your responsibility and if you allow others to edit with it then it will come back to you. I recommend signing out from shared computers and protecting your log in details as you would with an email or online banking account. Take it easy, Deizio talk 15:06, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

- Aye. The vandalism to the Fife article was quickly reverted but unwelcome and it's your responsibility to manage your account. Take care and take responsibility and there shouldn't be any further problems. Robovski 00:33, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Template:NF-Board teams
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Fraslet 17:28, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- John, we've talked about this before. Your little town is not a nation, it does not have a national football team, that non-existent team is not a member of the NF-Board, the flag you have made up for it (one of seemingly dozens of different flags) does not exist, and you are getting tiresome. └ OzLawyer / talk ┐ 22:00, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Logo_she.gif
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Logo_she.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 21:11, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Shirecrest.gif
I have tagged Image:Shirecrest.gif as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. BigrTex 22:47, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Sfciviceg4.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sfciviceg4.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:27, 10 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 04:27, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Grangemouth F.C.
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Grangemouth F.C., suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Grangemouth F.C..
