[edit] Adding external links
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added may not comply with our guidelines for external links and may be removed. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. LittleOldMe 16:38, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:EgoTrippinPart2-single.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:EgoTrippinPart2-single.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:06, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:LarryCoryell45 A-small.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:LarryCoryell45 A-small.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:10, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ohio Players Honey cover.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Ohio Players Honey cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:32, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Rising Down
There's a 10 review limit and I suppose because Okayplayer is a community started by ?uestlove, the review would be a little biased. I can't even find the review on Okayplayer.com. Was it a fan review? Because it's professional reviews. Feel free to replace the HipHopDX review with yours if it's the official review on the site and you think it's unbiased.–FunkyVoltron talk 21:40, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
None of the reviews at Okayplayer are "fan reviews", they are done by professionals like myself and brand new writers who are using the site as a way to branch out into other publications, online or offline. I've been a journalist for 23 years and thus consider myself a professional, although I take "professional" to mean "a publication with status" (even though my column has been in existence for four years). I will create a page for my column so that people will know that it is a professional review and not one that is from an "amateur", and I will make the change in a bit. 13:51, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
