Early Life

Born on 21 November 1989 in Dublin, Ireland he was christened John Madden. He aready had one brother, Max, who was born in 1984, and used to play guitar. He was joined in early 1991 by Peter. Peter played guitar also, but has since quit also.

He started playing guitar in 1995 when he was just 6, after listening to Doc Watson on 8 track tapes. His first guitar was an Alvaro classical guitar. He began going to guitar lessons with Clive Murray an excellent guitarist. He was forced to do Trinity College of London Classical Guitar grades. He hated every one of the five grades he did, and passed.

He was finally allowed to take up Electric Guitar full time when he was 14, after playing Max's Squier Stratocaster. He bought a bootleg, Sunburst Epiphone Les Paul. He hated it as it frequently broke and he finally had enough of it after two months and brought it back to the man he bought it off, who gave him €50 back for his €180 payed. So he bought a cream Squier '51 Telecaster/Stratocaster hybrid guitar off Murray for €160. He loved it. He once described it as "The only thing that I truely love is guitar, and this guitar is me" He later received a Fender Cyclone II as a gift off his brother, Max in December 2006. The guitar is a Fender Jaguar and Fender Mustang hybrid, combining the best of both guitars. He later removed the Jaguar pickups and replaced them with Hot Noiseless single coils. He uses it through a Peavey Bandit 112 amp.
