If you have come here to place a request for a re-confirmation of my adminship[1], please note that I will either:

  • seek community approval of my adminship through an RfC; (no consensus = no change)
  • choose to take the matter to ArbCom;
  • resign my powers and stand again for adminship;

at my discretion

  • once the "six editors in good standing" count has been met using my own criteria[2]
  • and the matter concerns my admin powers rather than a non-admin editing concern.

[edit] No withdrawal

I do not intend to withdraw but that is an intent, not a promise. However, I promise not to withdraw to escape the consequences of this commitment. I will only withdraw from this category if no recall is currently underway. If I intend to remove myself from this category I will give 28 days' notice on my user page.

[edit] No double jeopardy

Once this process concludes for matters raised by petitioners during an instance of this process, I will not honor a second recall request regarding the same matters. If however new concerns arise, the community is welcome to initiate another recall.

[edit] No vexatious litigants

No petitioner may petition for my recall more than three times in any 365 day period.

[edit] Severability

This is about my commitment to the community to be accountable, not about a category membership. Thus, the provisions of this page shall survive if, for example, the CAT:AOTR (or successor, whatever named) is deleted, and under any other reasonable circumstances. Only my explicitly stated withdrawal from this committment itself will suffice.

[edit] Procedure

As this is a voluntary procedure, I will decide at each stage how to proceed, but I commit not to use this proviso to avoid de-adminship in a manner that defeats the spirit of this category. For examples of how I see the procedure taking place, see here.

[edit] Notes

  1. ^ Remember, this is a voluntary action, and does not preclude an RfC or RfAr being initiated by others, should they feel they have no recourse.
  2. ^ At least 5000 edits and 1 year of tenure, though this may vary; also, preferably a user I have interacted with on multiple occasions. User must not have been the subject of an arbitration committee sanction or admonishment, nor have any previous blocks which have 'lasted'. If the user is calling for recall is an admin, the admin must themselves have been in this category for at least a week. No user I have previously been in conflict with (such conflict to be defined by me) will be eligible to participate, unless it is alleged that previous malpractice forms a material part of their current concern. I reserve the right to impose additional criteria, but I also commit not to do this to avoid de-adminship in a manner that defeats the spirit of this category.
