In the course of my professional life I've been doing research and development into the Internet Application Layer on software and network architectures for interactive applications. As a wikipedian, I'm thinking more Columbia Concise (CCE) than Brittannica. In the wikipedia, each article (ideally) is written by someone familiar with the subject, like the CCE.
