Hi. I'm a Finance and Actuarial Science Major at NYU Stern with an interest in quantitative finance. Right now I'm working on a short review of basic financial topics such as ascertaining the discounted value of various financial instruments. I hope to eventually learn Latex- it's giving me a hard time when I'm trying to create long equations, but it's starting to seem necessary. For example, it's easier to read a numerator and a denominator with some superscript instead of [(a+b)/(c+d)]^(e+f). God help me if I need more than 3 sets of enclosures - ([{}]). However, my current focus is writing an algorithmic trading model in Java, and other applications for business neural networks, and getting that done soon so I can apply for some computing time on the Stern Grid.
