This userpage probably looks like crap in Internet Explorer. Use Mozilla Firefox instead.
It probably looks like crap in screen resolutions below 1024×768. Get a better monitor.

Facts |
I am Johan Elisson, born in 1984 in Göteborg, Sweden, where I have lived all my life. I've contributed to Wikipedia since June 2004, and became an admin in October 2006. I consider myself to be a true Gothenburger and Götalander, even though my grandparents are from
- Schleswig-Holstein, Germany,
- Dalarna, Svealand,
- Västerbotten, Norrland,
- and Gästrikland, Norrland,
respectively. The two most interresting parts of my ancestry are probably my grandmother's father who fought in World War II on the German side, and my ancestry in Sweden which has been traced back as far as the 15th century.
I am currently studying engineering physics at Chalmers University of Technology, but I tend to not edit anything related to engineering, physics or maths, strangely enough. Instead my main areas of interrest on Wikipedia are
- Sweden, mainly Gothenburg and Norrland,
- sport, mainly football,
- and history, mainly military history,
but a combination of two or three of these are naturally favored. My featured contributions are signs of this, being on one of the areas, or a combination of them.
I like to write a lot about semi-obscure stuff, which probably is related to my preference of working alone. However I am aware that I do not own articles. My future featured article plans include
- KdF Wilhelm Gustloff (workplace),
- Boden Fortress (workplace),
- and military history of Sweden (workplace),
where the two first are very interresting but not very well known subjects which is perfect for my wish to work by my self. On the other hand, I'm probably best known as the creator of the WikiProject on Football and the Football Portal, both largely based on cooperating and getting people to work together.
My current edit count is not really interresting, probably the only reason to count posts is when being nominated for adminship, and seeing I actually passed a nomination, the edit counts have no value at all. I also feel I can make useful contributions to Wikipedia no matter if I have admin privilegies or not, and I definitely agree with the meta edit counting page which says that
- your edit count is not your IQ, value as a human being, or a score in a video game. It does not determine your worth as a Wikipedian. It does not cure cancer or grant you a seat on the secret spaceship that will be traveling to Mars when the Krulls return to destroy the planet in 2012... Don't let it bother you. It's just a number in the database.
I think of myself as a delusionist, but closer to being a deletionist than an inclusionist. I also believe in some kind of cabal. Maybe I'm even part of it? I do act a little rouge from time to time.
