I made this page because

  • It had to be made, but also
  • I was looking for info on the former NSL outfit Penrith City, and stumbled across this link which says somewhere that the award was introdcued in Johnny's name from 1990 onwards. Now of course i used OzFootball's NSL awards page as the main source for the winners, but am unsure if it was awarded retrospectively in his name to the previous (pre-1990) winners of the player of the year award, so if anyone knows for sure, make the relevant changes, and i'd love to see the source.
