[edit] Trivia

Do we really need all that trivia stuff in the article? It should be shortened or rewritten into other parts of the article.

I think the trivia is fine as it is. It could be shortened or rewritten into other parts of the article - but a lot of the information there is already in the main article. Thebestkiano 16:49, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] removed financial detail thing

I deleted this from the article:

Despite its international popularity with audiences [1], especially in its native Britain, the spy spoof was financially unsuccessful in the United States, where it was released on July 18, 2003 to lukewarm acclaim from critics. As far as the aforementioned and the film's ending are concerned, it is unknown if a sequel will ever be made.

because I think it's irretrievably US-centric, which Will Not Do for an article about a British film made in Britain starring British actors written by British writers and set in Britain. How are British people an "international audience" for such a film? But remove the US POV and you're not left with much, so I figured it was easier to just remove it altogether and explain myself here. --fuddlemark (fuddle me!) 08:08, 22 September 2005 (UTC)

I Think you will find that virtually every reference to 'this' country in the film is to England, rather than Britain. So I would think its popularity would be more popular with an an English audience rather than a general British one.

but I think you will find that England is not a country, but the UK is, so you're point actually... well... isnt one. England is a country the UK is a group of countries. Common misconception. - I think you'll find that there's a parliament for Britain, not for England. The parliament for the United Kingdom is the only full parliament in the COUNTRY of the UK, it is the government of the UK, no other part of the UK has its own FULL government. Until that happens, England, N. Ireland, Scotland and Wales are merely provinces (give or take) of the UK. I suggest you do your homework before confusing things unnecessarily.

[edit] Detailed summary

Is this really necessary? --ⁿɡ͡b Nick Boalch\talk 01:13, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

There being no answer to this, I've gone ahead and removed it. --ⁿɡ͡b Nick Boalch\talk 16:45, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Plot section needs rewrite

I added a rewrite tag to the plot section because some of the details of the plot are mixed up. Furthermore, there is no mention of Lorna Cambell or Pegasus, and Johnny English did not infiltrate Sauvage's chateau on his own, he had help from Lorna. Could somebody please fix the plot section? 205.251.53.132 01:46, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

If no one fixes it soon, I will try to fix it myself. 205.251.53.6 01:38, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing the details of the plot section. I fixed the details of English infiltrating Sauvage's chateau. I also removed the rewrite tag, this section is fine now. 205.251.54.235 16:21, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sequel?

Is there a sequel or not? the intro paragraph says there is one being worked on, but the section "Rumors" says otherwise.
