[edit] Sonnet or Poem?

I'm not totally sure whether Burgon's poem Petra was actually a sonnet. I'm a student in England who is fascinated by Petra, having been there a couple of times in the past. When I heard of his sonnet, I looked into Burgon and borrowed a poetry book of his from the British Library. Poems, 1840 to 1878 was released in 1885, which included his 1845 poem Petra, however the version in this book spanned 8-12 pages, the last stanza bieng the sonnet that is so well known.
