[edit] Agnes' marriages

DNB article on Sir John Say her last husband states that she was the widow of two husband prior to him: John Fray, Chief Baron of the Exchequor, and John Lord Wenlock. So John say was her third, not fourth husband. Wjhonson 04:10, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

I am not sure that is correct - I think she actually had four husbands in total, but one she hated, and so never referred to him (and he was the only husband not mentioned in her will when she paid the church to pray for their souls). I'll try and double check the facts though. I was considering doing an article on Agnes too, as she is an interesting figure in her own right (although not sure what name to use for the title of the article). If I do, I'll do some more detailed research on her and square all the connected articles. Legis 16:20, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Finally got around to double checking this. Agnes (nee Danvers) did have four husbands in total: Agnes Danvers (b c1424, d 04.06.1478) BEB1844 shows John D'Anvers as having 2 daughters called Agnes, one by his first marriage (who m. Thomas Baldington) and one by his second (married 3 times). TCP (Wenlock) indicates that they were the same Agnes who m. 4 times as below.
