[edit] copyvio?
The text is lifted from [1]. However, the article's original author User:Souldrifter02, says he's the webmaster of city of Elmira. We should check with him to see whether he has the copyright to that particular page (it's not listed on his user page as one of "his"). --Qviri (talk) 15:15, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
The City of Elmira does hold the copyright on the text for this article. It was written by interns who conducted the research and wrote the article for the City of Elmira for publication on the website. I granted permission on behalf of the City of Elmira as the webmaster because there was no article on John Jones. It would appear that the website cited as the source is actually in copyright violation. Do I need to do anything further to remove this Copyright Violation message? - Nope, that will suffice. I removed the copyvio notices and the links, and we should be good to go. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding :) --Qviri (talk) 01:05, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- No problem- I wasn't offended...I'm impressed by your diligence. I've been meaning to do more on the articles that I've contributed to, but I haven't had a great deal of time lately. Souldrifter 01:03, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
