[edit] Misc

Anyone know anything about his private life / sexuality?

Hi, I do know that my grandmother's friend is his neighbor in Oak Park, Illinois. --bobsmith319 04:00, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Is John Mahoney gay? one second i hear that he isn't one second i hear he is? Briaboru

http://www.geocities.com/goodnightseattle/index1.htm says he is divorced, which contradicts the article as it stands. --MartinUK 22:03, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Given that I've seen no evidence to support this theory neither before the edit was made claiming John Mahoney to be gay nor after, and that no significant discussion has taken place regarding this 'rumor,' I've removed the edit in question. LemonSmints 10:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

According to this he didn't grow up in Ohio!! http://www.geocities.com/area51/9825/mahoney/radiofour.htm

IS there any reason to say that he joined the army to become a US citizen and speed up the citizenship process? Isn't that the same thing

There was only one reason that an immigrant at that time joined the U.S. army, and it had nothing to do with citizenship. It was called the draft JohnClarknew (talk) 19:06, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
A non-citizen can't get drafted in any normal country I doubt he was drafted. +Hexagon1 (t) 11:31, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
That's right. The only time the U.S. government has ever railed over foreigners and force them to serve, was during the Civil War, when Irish immigrants would get off the cougher ships and be signed right up into service. They hinted at that in gangs of New York. Anyway, john is an amazing actor, and I doubt the rumors. but, either way, he's still a talent that I will always love. - March 3, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.218.116.201 (talk) 05:06, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
