[edit] K is for...

what does the k stand for in john k. samson?

Your guess is as good as mine; haven't been able to find a reference for it. The only reason it's in the title at all is that he's always credited with the K.; he's never referred to as just John Samson. Bearcat 06:24, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
It's Kristjan, from his Icelandic heritage. Frogninja 07:22, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
If I recall correctly from an interview, he uses the initial to distinguish himself from his father, John Samson, but I could be wrong on that. -- 193.6.218.9 10:35, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article structure

This page needs some work. At the moment, it's largely a compilation of facts and would improve considerably with structure. From what I know, Samson's politics is probably the central thread that would best tie together all of his literary, artistic and philanthropic activities. It won't be easy though, his politics fit into categories about as well as his music does into genres and it'd be hard to do without misrepresentation. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Concerning content, I think Samson's role fronting the Weakerthans should receive more attention as it's undoubtedly the role he's best known in. His solo work is important in a historical sense as it marks his transition from the Propaghandi. That's why I've removed some of the stuff about his solo careerYuorme 15:06, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Is John a vegan?

Lots of sources say that John is a vegan, and the Propagandhi website claims that the band's members are vegan. But in this interview with the Weakerthans it says: "No, we’re not vegan." --Nick 17:39, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

That doesn't necessary mean that Samson isn't vegan, just that the band as a whole isn't. But seeing as there is no reference to support the claim that he is vegan, I removed the category. Wyatt Riot (talk) 23:27, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
